I find it hard these days to come back to my blog. It somehow feels abandoned to me, partly becuase I have so little time to play with it. Yet I am having the hardest time to just go ahead and empty the shelves and lock up. Maybe because I hope that eventually time, energy and some interesting thoughts will return.
For today we have a snarkpost up HERE, where we will creatively tackle the stress of deadlines in a sentence. You are more than welcome to join us there!

As for this blog, penguin cartoons do cheer me up tremendously:

A lovely Wednesday to you!

Blogs have big brown eyes and passive aggressive personalities, it's true. Penguin cartoos have tall he wisdom of a professor.

I assume even really far south the sky is still blue, no?

As for blogs, they document our lives, including the busy times, which are described by our absence.

Your readership already knows life is busy... we're just looking forward to the study breaks and summer holidays to hear all about it.

Doug, I think I have influenced your spelling...and not in a good way!

Morgan, "...which are described in our absence." I love that. Welcome home!

funny how Life has a way of interfering with our ability to Document it. that said, you seem to do a fantastic job, both in Living yours, and letting us know what's what. i, for one, am just grateful to check in and see your happy cartoons and read your clever words whenever the mood strikes you to write 'em! (i mean, who am I to talk? i haven't done a post on my own blog in weeks. nothing like Strife to get in the way of Life, eh my dear friend?)

speaking of your cartoons... i find 'em brilliant, absolutely brilliant! they most certainly put a big smile on my face, and that's worth more to me these days than you can imagine!

and, for the record, your post in teh Snark is flat out hilarious. clearly you're doing something right. ; ) xox

minka, I also feel the whims of the blog. Mine feels cast off, and damn if I don't have this guilty twinge in my gut.

I love the feet print photo! Maybe I can make one out of mud.

Minka, Neva's comment made me think. Consider poor Mr. Pratchett who never leaves his home. He's so deprived of subject matter he has to write about stuff on another planet in another universe. (And still he exaggerates many of the events in his stories.)

NEVA, eventually I get thinsg done, it is just with everythign going on, I just like to come home, get to bed and read somethign that makes me giggle, which is usually a Pratchett book :) But I cna't, becuase I have to be up in 5 hours and start all over again! *sighs and keeps going*

Old Mule, it tickles...which is nice...shows you the nerves still function:)

Morgan, yes, but he has TV and books and a lovign family to give him loads of input, I have all of that too, but I am not writing a book :) Don't you just love his parody on our world though?!

Please don't empty the shelves and lock up. Even if you only post once in a blue moon, I'll be hanging around waiting to read whatever it is you have to say. Besides, where else could I find such great penguin cartoons?

I like the cartoon!

I will not accept the locking of this palace...whimsy and smarts combined in a way that we all come back looking for more. As said by the folks above this comment, just throw us a bone once in a while in between all the other stuff your live is crammed with to keep us happy. Snark is a treat in itself, and we know you won't really close up shop here - right? (She was just kidding mom, wasn't she?)

Theresa, thank you and I waasn't really considering it. I couldn't do that to ferdinand, my little penguin on the side that you can feed and push into the water :) Where'd he live?!

myutopia, you and me both :)

anonymous, I am glad you are a really interesting website! Good luck with it!

Terry, would I ruffle feathers. This plac ei sgonna stay, I am just not gonna be as stressed when I notice a week has gone by without a post :)

Been there done that. As you know. I think it was on one of Garrison Keillor's Writer's Almanac radio bits that I heard this line (paraphrased): "To write, you must achieve a state of mind that other people pay to be cured of." Little wonder one gets tired. Especially when the groceries might be riding on your not doing it.

Be well. We're always wishing to hear from and about you when and as.

Oc, thank you that was sweet. I appreciate that. I'll be around :)

Doug, what's an ayllabary? Does it involve dancing around the fire?

I've come and gone and come back again. Follow your little penguin heart, dear. But never go and not let me in on where you are! XO

I hear ya my dearest Minka... if ever there is one who knows about disppearing from the blogosphere... just yesterday I was pondering hitting the big orange DELETE button... not gonna do it yet but maybe some day... I know not.

But as for YOU... even though a certain bohemian is kept away from all things Minka, regrettably, all too often, the blogosphere is most definitely a place in NEED, NEED I TELL YOU, of a sassy, hip 'n happenin', German-Icelandic-no-wonder-I-call-ya-my-sistah fabulous Penguinlicious Ice Queen I tell you!

And since, *SIGHETTY DAMN SIGH*, I am older than you, *GULP how those words hurt*, youd best listen to me!

:-)

I don't care how darn busy you are.

Joel...charming, as always :)

Cindra...I won't and I am so glad you returned. You are the lady I think of when I have my morning coffee.

Miz B...well, this is a nice source for Penguin cartoons, even if I say so myself. The odd fun post in between and I kinda like this place, so I guess it will be around for a bit!

Doug...and that is why God had the wisdom of locating us on different continents. preventing you from being hit over the head with a rather blunt object.

Minka, no one knows God's plan for us, but I'm pretty sure his plan for me didn't include avoiding traumatic brain injury.

At 00:38, Blogger Minka said...

True, his plan for me involved not braking my bones on brickwalls.
