Excuse my absense of late...
but I did have my reasons. They were three-fold!
1. A weekend promised to my three little nephews. Cinema, dining out *laughs* and playing games.
I just love this picture. Somehow they are all adjusting their clothing at the same time, for no apparent reason. Hereditary research would get a kick out of this one :)
Details about this trip will feature in the next post. Much is left to be said about the courageous aunt that goes the distance.
2. I had to see about a lamb. This one below. If you wanna know more, I encourage a visit to the SNARK!!! where I am hosting today.
3. I couldn´t find my night-vision goggles that I wear when posting, my socks didn´t match either. It was that kinda week!

It looks like someone ate your basket of flowers.
Someone will have to make a joke about the cloud rising around the outhouse, but, personally, I'm above such humor.
my first thought was one boy is smoking and the other two are admiring. :) that is a very funny picture, indeed!
and the lamb looks yummmm!
Was the lamb for dinner?
Nice ones, Ariel and Snay. Quite a rack on that lamb, huh?
Quite a coincidence, too. Snay posted the other day about how to get lamb poop out of a wicker basket.
(Sounds like a great week, M.)
i'm relieved to know the boys were adjusting their jackets... for a second i feared they were getting ready to compare their, um, wee willies. those boys... ; )
awwww.... i lovelovelove both these pictures -- AND your wonderful post in the Snark! you inspire, even when frazzled, my friend. xox
actonbell, being surrounded by me obviously agrees with them :) Both lamb and boys :)
Doug, it is not an outhouse. It is a hot spring that has something to built around it, to protect curious noses from being burnt. I am glad to see you are maturing though:) Love the joke about teh flowers!
ariel, doesn´t it. You can´t eat it though...it´s way too tiny and it´s life so far has reached 5 days.
snay, no it wasn´t...it was in teh oven though at one point! You might wanna check out it´s story at http://www.centralsnark.wordpress.com
al, it was a great weekend. And will you guys quit it...look at the lamb from a different angle, see how cute and fuzzy it is! I don´t wanna hear anything about lambchops anymore today! :)
neva, thank you and those boys could well have compared stuff any given moment, but not this instance.
For a minute I thought the same as Neva, that they were adjusting their wee willies. Cute nephews you've got there, boy you are a brave aunt to take the three out at once. You want to come visit Spain and take my three out sometime? You can bring the lamb, the kids would love that.
Tenth! (What? I like metric.)
Uber-cute lamb. But what's with the boys in camo-coloured jackets? What does green blend in with in Iceland?
FYI, Lambchop was a famous sock puppet. Most likely also made from wool.
theresa: ummm...ok! I am picturing mid-summer...beach...a person I hired for the day...and a ina colada in each of our hands :)
Morgan, uber-cute? You certainly have been too long in Europe :) And what are you hinting at...there are trees in iceland, you just have to look and to have enough time. There are two forrests I would have you know!
wow. that little lamb needs to be submitted to cute overload!
That pic is pretty funny. Looks like they have ticks or something.
Bluepaintred, welcome and I agree:)
Diesel, they certainly don´t...there are no such suckers in Iceland :)
Ok, beach sounds good, hired person to get kids out of my hair sounds even better, piña colada - marvelous (actually, I've never even tried one of those). And if we can get some handsome men to fan us while lying on said beach, that would be perfect. When? Where?
theresa...I have a week off in teh middle of JUNE. I am sorta almost serious :)
Where exactly do you live?
Nephews are wonderful, aren't they!?!
That is a very cute picture of all three of them adjusting their clothing at the same time...
I love the pic of the lamb... to darn cute.
Night-Vision Goggles... toooo funny!
I live just outside Pamplona, not too near the beach, but still a nice place. If you're thinking of coming down to Spain, I'll be happy to show you around.
Oh my! Mention a lack of color and/or sock coordination and I am all (albeit horrifiedly so!) ears! Oh the horror! I feel for ya indeed sweet Ice Queen DAS FO SHO!
As for that sweet lamb... *sigh* glad she is ok! Phew!
shayna, WELCOME BACK! *gives her a huge hug* and congratualations on such an outstanding little addition to your family! Your two are certainly as adorable.
theresa, thank you. See Iceland is always a bit behind where summer is concerned...and tehre are days when the idea of lying on the beach, with a cold drink in your hand...seems like heaven. :)
mizB: I knew that would get your attention. When we meet, I am sure I am gonna have a few clothes changes before you let me out of the house on teh street walking next to you. Litte lamb is still growing strong!
My socks aren't matching and I'm not even wearing any! Oy vay! You are a good auntie to have indeed. Boys are so sweet.
Doug, with his outhouse humor - so immature!
G, your sentence..."My socks arenæt matching and I´m not even wearing any!" reminded me of donkey in Shrek...when he says: "My toes hurt...(looks down) Oh my God, I donæt have any toes!"
Pamplona's also a bit behind on the summer thing, although I'm sure not so much as Iceland. When my children are whining and I am zoning out, I am usually imagining myself on the beach.
