It is Thursday ...

and I am back in Iceland (West Coast). I am still very exhausted and tired and just wanna lie down and teleport back to the US for a little while longer, but certain bloggers (see comment section in last post!) are just being a pest. So here goes it:

"Whether or not he came up with his famous stories, generations have gained moral understanding by them. In one version of his life, he was a slave in 6th century B.C. When he was freed, he told stories about animals acting like humans. They were verbally passed on before being written down by the Greeks and Romans in the 1st and 2nd centuries A.D."

now it is your turn, off to the comment section with you and hint at this weeks imaginative person.

p.s...promised pictures of my trip are in the progress of election, cropping and air-brushing. They should be illuminating this site tomorrow at some point!

update: unfortunately blogger is unwilling at the moment to let me post pictures...it will get back to me tomorrow, I presume. :)

I always respond to his stories with
a sob,
then I have to find a tissue and clean my face with
a dab,
I've been told this is because I'm
a sap.

BTW, got any mail?

Aside from the stories attributed to him, there is no proof that this man ever lived -- he may very well be a fable himself -- and the moral of this lesson is: take plenty of pictures of yourself next to well-known landmarks to prove you exist.

no clue missy but I'm sure I'll twig on to it sometime.

I am NOT a pest.

While moral truths some days may drop
Into stories I tell to a cop
They're never as bold
As the fables he told
So the sour grapes just never stop.

When you airbrush the photos, you're gonna leave in your beard and Kyah's whiskers, right?

"Slow and steady wins the race" was the moral of one of his fables.

Logo, well done and Yes...just as Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks...I too, have got mail. Betcha anything they didn´t get a mood ring though ;) Thank you!

Quilly, true...but as with religion...things that can´t be proved, seem to be worldwide accepted as soemthing to morally adher to! I have lots of pictures with myself and some landmark...I´ve been alive it appears :)

Kyah, I never said you were :)

Doug, very well done. The Sour grapes is a good example of his writing.
and yes...beard and whiskers will stay, at the moment I am debating your dreadlocks though :)

Morgan, Hi there and it is good to be back, well...in a day or two :)

Joel...yep yep yep...those rabbits and tortoises, ey?!

i know it's wrong, but this individual conjures up visions of The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show -- mostly because his stories were oft featured in an extremely humorous segment that starred your "mystery man" and his "son". trust me, it was funny. (of course, now that you know me, you may forever question my idea of "funny"... sigh.)

missing you, my sweet/dear friend, and VERY relieved that, while on America's West coast, you didn't fall prey to any wolves in Sheep's clothing and/or vice versa. ; ) xox

Moa, I understand that statement. Morphologically figure made by one of our favourite artists ;) However, I do not get that final hint...help?

birdwoman...absolutely correct and thought provoking. I like these crossword puzzle type of hints :)

Neva, I can only assume you are right...but even if you are not...who cares...you always will be exactly on the money in my books! I am a fairly good editor;)
wolves in sheep´s clothing???Somehow the East Coast seemed more dangerous in that regard ;)

Right now a small fabled volume of his, sits next to the toilet as Julian's reading material of choice.

Welcome home. A pale has been cast over the US by your departure. xox

This Fabulous guy, who ijn your post looks a lot like Peter Ustinov, used to live on Stone Street in Lower Manhattan.

C'mon back. I'll show ya.

G, *looks into her bathroom, ups...sorry Julian...checks covers* YEP!
Iceland is unusually sunny for this time, so I keep to my bedroom, turn off the lights and dream of Mexican food in good company!

Al, Peter Ustinov lived in Lower Manhattan? Interesting...so we have the meat market and Peter Ustinov still to cover...excuse me while I book my flight. You have a spare room right?!

Actonbell, that I did. I truly did and I hope on my next journey West I will have the indulgence of adding pez-territory and faces to my itenary ;)

Sure do, Minky, door's always open.

Moa, I am not actually posting bloggers...because I don´t know who is ok with that. So I decided it will be largely me and some secondary scenery ;) I have a wonderful photo of the two of us though!

Al, I bet a bench in July is OK. I just got my summer vacation cleared and well, I can´t wait!
