Ok, This video below was hilarious to me, especially when we got to the part where women´s shampooing is explained in closer detail. Now I know there are people out there that think the hauman body/ gender and behavior are something to be seen in the behind closed doors between two equals and not openly explored. See, I always thought women's showers took an hour and a half because the soap asked a yes/no question.
The shower-like-a-man sequence has too many steps. There are three.
How does he do that? Doug, do you sleep or go to work?

Doug, one a half...that sounds about right! After this video I think it will be better advised not to ask in more detail about these steps :)

Funny and I thought I was the only person on earth, clever enough to clean the shower while showering...I am grateful for blogs and YouTube without them I would be clueless.

My shower routine may not be quite that complex but it catches the general tone of the difference quite effectively.

No, Minka. I was just affirming the "simple creature" allegation, cruel as it was.
According to Al Gore, we'd be halfway to solving our environmental problems if women would just stop bathing.
That would help take care of overpopulation, too.
(That was an unemployed-man shower in the video, by the way.)
I do all those things except pee in the shower. Mostly because I have to do something while the shower is warming up anyway.

I'm all about the five minute shower, baby.
In basic training (army) we learned to do 2-minute, cold-water-only showers. Of course we had no hair, so that was easier. Cold shaving is worse.
Now I actually have to condition my hair, so I'm somewhere in between the two videos.
But cleaning while showering is out of the question! When the most sensitive skin on your body sits front and centre, you don't spray many caustic chemicals while naked.
@Doug - farting, peeing and making shampoo hair-doo is three. you don't use soap? :-P
malnurtured snay, eahc to their own I guess. But I bet your forgot to scrub behind your ears each time!
Morgan, well you don´t have to spray them on you...you just cleaned yourself in the shower-if that´s what you were doing! The trick is to apply some cleaning thingies everywhere but on yourself and get scrubbing.
ariel, Hi! I like the way you think and tease...rumour has it, he doesn´t use the bath mat either. he falls down a lot...that might explain his late posting of late!
I couldn't see this yesterday and came back today. I am cracking up. So what I've learned is Doug doesn't use soap and I have to show this to Scissors so he stops complaining about my "half hour showers". I mean they're not quite thaaat long.
So funny. Who can't relate? Very good post Minka ;-D
G, it is good to introduce men to teh fact that long showers are a female thing aorund the world and it seems to me that some of those rituals are man-induced :)
