Gleðileg Jól

It is the 24th and having survived the Icelandic 23rd -don´t ask, just imagine the taste of rotten sting ray and that is all you need to know- I am ready and good to go with the whole idea of Christmas.
Excessive gifts have been purchased, food that would feed three time the people we actually are and electricity levels reaching new hights; this only means one thing: Christmas is here and in about 2 1/2 hours I will be feasting and opening presents like crazy.

While making this year´s desert (a trifle- be very impressed!) all of you popped into my mind and I put everything down and decided to post a short message to all of you:

Merry Christmas you lot! May a glance at the year that has gone by bring a smile to your face, may the good memories far outweigh the bad ones and may all of you feel loved, special and cared for. You are an extraordinary part of my life and although very far away, you´ll still be with me right here, when we sit around the tree and reflect on our blessings. I might even count YOU twice :)

Wonderful Holidays everybody "and to all a good night!"

Merry Christmas! Sounds like you have everything in the bag:)

btw, your talk of flooding made me go peek at other country's weather, and I came across a most interesting site about the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden--you probably know all about it, but it's facinating, how an entire hotel melts away every spring! According to the weather reports I saw, that region is freezing now, luckily.

Morgan, same to you and may it be bright!

Joel, thank you and may yours involve delicious take out one of these days :)

Actonbell, I knew about the ice hotel. There is weird stuff in the world :) I am glad you like the music, it is not everybody´s piece of cake. But it is very festive German and I have to celebrate both my nationalities ;)

Doug, I counted you twice ;)

al, a very merry Christmas to you too :)

Beautiful. just like you. thank you, dearest Monika -- and warmest wishes for a beautiful Christmas and a Happy/Joyous New Year.

Trifle? please tell me you nixed the sauteed beef & onions... (sorry, as a "Friends" fan, you knew i couldn't resist). in all honestly, that's one dessert i can make, too! hmmmm... y'know, *some* day, we may have to compare notes and/or ingredients, eh girlfriend?

HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! xoxox

Beautiful Christmas message and The Vienna Boys Choir adds the perfect touch - nice blending of your cultures.

So glad to consider you part of my blessings for the past year as well.

Merry Christmas

And horses, Quilly. Christmas ain't Christmas over at Minka's place without the horses ...

Make merry, Minka. That's no trifle.
