I don´t own a TV!
That´s right, what century do I live in? But I don´t miss it all that much and to be truthful we do have a Tv at work. Now: working with a bunch of girls, you can´t help getting introduced to reality shows now and again.
The newest hoot going around is: So you think you can dance? Nope, never said that!
But there are some people that can and I hate to say it, but I seriously like this show. Music and movement and beat always fascinate me; people extending their body parts against any physical principle of gravity have my utmost respect.
Last week two of the contestants were doing this:
and my hair literally stood up and I had shivers running down my spine. Now, as with modern paintings (blue canvas, yellow triangle sorta thing!) I usually don´t get contemporary dancing all that much. This I got and it got me.
So what do you think...do I need help?

I am not big on watching "dance" anything... but yes... this one was worth watching... :)
Amazing performance. Thanks, Monika.
Um, can I see the blue canvas with the yellow triangle again?
no, i don't think you need help. I'm skeptical with the "contemproary" and "modern" prefacs myself whenever it comes to art, but this was pretty lovely.
blue canvas, yellow triangle eludes me, but if it were yellow SQUARE on the other hand...
happy early thanksgiving, by the way
I have a tv, but I rarely watch. You don't need any help, you are fine just the way you are.
So when does the movie "Happy Feet" come to Iceland?
I don't think a little bit will hurt, so you probably don't need to go for help yet, but if this continues...well, let us know, okay? We're here for you, hon.
shayna,thank you!
Al, you mean that?
Doug, I don´t know if that is a yes or a no. Be more specific and less cryptic, will ye!?
square, of course squares are excluded from any modern eluding. That goes without saying...
Brian, i wish I knew. I seriously hope befor eChristmas. I so can´t wait. And I just know that the voice of Robin Williams will make me laugh so hard!
CIndra, thank you sweetie, I know I could depend on you. In case a tight white jacket is my future, could you make sure it has lovely flowers stitched in it?!
Hoi Minka, yes "reality TV" is a problem. More than one favourite show per week of this type and you will need help. But you're okay right now.
Have you seen Cirque Du Soleil??? 90 minutes of people flaunting the law of gravity and doing the impossible with the human body. A must see show!
It is a hard question to answer, Minka. On the one hand you posted tv reality clips on two blogs in one day. On the other hand, I make it a habit not to refer valkyries for counseling.
Morgan, I did mention I donæt have a TV, right...and this is the only show I watch all week. I think -compared to teh rest of the world- I am good :)
Doug, I see. We need to have words!*polishes her sword*
"Al, you mean that?"
Sure thing, cupcake. That was an excellent dance performance: very expressive, and remarkably athletic, without being showy.
(I can see I have a believability problem here... so, I might as well go for it...)
Oh, and, Doug's right, you need help. Smiting him with your sword will definitely help. I recommend a clean bisection 'round L3 or L4. Can I watch?
Minka, you need help. Never mind the dance bit, which I'll watch when I can get onto a computer where I know where the mute button is. It's the "not owning a TV" part that's the worry. How can you possibly participate in today's society? How can you possibly allow The Man to manipulate you into a position where you can help it empty your walle ... er, celebrate your preferences? [read the George Saunders story, My Flamboyant Grandson]
I don't have one either. I'd kiss you, but I might get slapped with a cactus.
Al, cupcake? Is it just me or are we getting closer? :) I am just thankful, you didn´t call me "Hon" :) And yes you can watch, you want me to get the throne and red carpet out if teh basement? Now taht you are famous and all, what with being fetaured on WA!!!
Oc, see? I knew you and I would get along just fine when all is said and done. *combs his spaghetti hair*. cactus...big green plant with lots of throns all over it? Hmmm...that sure would make a good waepon...thanks fo rbringing it up! :)
No TV? I may have to take that personally.
Minka -- I own two TV sets. I rarely turn them on. Even when I think I may want to watch something, I usually forget -- or something more interesting comes along.
As to this piece -- the music and the dancing were seamless. I think it is okay if you are just a bit awed -- and odd, too.
OC -- one has to wonder about a smart man who arms his opponent.
Minka -- please be careful of the rest of us when you aim that thing.
joel, I ´d get one if you were on it. Really, I would!
quilly, Odd? I can deal with that, considering teh people I hang out iwth around here...odd becomes normal :) I am really good at aiming too, where did I put my glasses???

Minka, I had a feeling you typed with a sword.
ok, I never watch reality TV, but I am glad you posted that, it was pretty interesting to watch.
I do think I prefer the yellow triangles though.
:P
that was remarkable. and it sure beats the hell out of the dances i do in our kitchen. xox
Q, I've been doing that a long time. Chivalry, y'know. S T U ...
:)
Minka I'll let you know...Neva, you sell your kitchen dancing way short - trust me, it's awesome.
Pascover *throws mud at his face*
Logo, I almost sorta anticipated you saying that :)
neva, some day I would liek to see that :)
Oc, yeah that´s what they all say until they have caught us and tehn the beast within returns :)
Joel, I have no doubt, neva is lovely whatever she does :)
The National Currency and Bird are both the Quetzal.
Bugger off!
*Flaps away with twin green tailfeathers held aloft*
Doug -- I read that entire conversation carefully and cannot figure out where the reference to Guatemala came from.
I'll never sit on a park bench again.
Doug, you sure look funny flapping!
Quilly, he was just trying to pressure me for my Thursday brain Teaser. If you search for sense in that dude, you better apply for sabbatical;)
Fred, but if you weren´t married? I mena teh park bench is good place to introduce yourself and if you can move like Trevor does, you definately will get the girl;)
