Home sweet home!

Minka has discovered YouTube. I spent some time last night finding Icelandic clips for you and some I just got lost in. I feel a homey feeling looking at these images some foreigners have taken while being on this frosty little place.
Gabriel, take it away:

ps...give it a minute or so...then it gets really interesting and some beuatiful scenery is awaiting you!

For additional photoes got to my new blogging friend´s site and check it out. He published those photoes for me, they sure deserve some attention!

addendum: I am flashing my KNICKERS today! Check me out! Meow!!!

What? First again!

That as a cool clip. I now want to go to Iceland...if nothing else than to be chased by a flock of birds.

Youtube is one of the greatest sites on the internet (after blogs of course). There are always great videos on there.
Google is trying to compete with them now, Google has videos, some are better quality, but some aren't.
I'm in class so I can't watch that clip right now, I'll do that as soon as I get home.

Jenna, you are setting up a trend, I like it! Chased by a flock of birds? I can arrange that!

solace cai, I hope you get a chacne of 6 minutes and really give this video a chance. It is so me and my home...the beginning is not that good, neithe ris the end, but teh middle part is amazing. You see Volcanoes, geysir and icelandic stuff that is nowhere else to be found.

Brian, doesn´t it?

Cube, granted...but it was teh landscape I wanted you to see :)

Joel, what do you mean quite? It is impressive, basta!

ariel, yeah it is a difference from mainland Europe :)

Neva, I had the fortune of receiving soem pictures from California and I would actually have to agree with you...just beautiful!

idiveatnight, glad to have caused such enthusiasm ;) I canæt wiat to see you pictures and see if I recognize where you have been :)

FF, that is an attractive point to tourist. Icelandic nature is pretty much as it has been forever...unspoiled seclusive and breathtaking. Glad you like it!

Oh Minka, so stunning! You know I never would have ever thought of visiting Iceland before I met you, but you definitely help all of us see the beauty of Iceland and I would indeed now consider a trip there in the future.

Iceland's Tourism department needs to send you a check. Wow ! That was spectacular. I've never thought about traveling to Iceland but I certainly want to consider it now. The volcano climbers were great. I loved the very last of their video sliding down the snow. By the way, were you their camerawoman?

kyahgirl, to be honest I dontæ know what that movement was :) Icleand are very good singers though and have ability to dance. I think it is the Irish blood within us :)

Square, and you would be welcome any time, have your own tourist guide and a place to crash. Imagine...

Cj, get on over here then and bring thoat lovely family of yours right along :)

Cindra Jo...And you already know somebody here :)

Doug, you are late!

Dewy, I knows! I knows so well. Thank you for allowing me to visit you over there :)

swampy, that is what I am thinking :)
And no, I wasn´t the camera woman :) I was the one hanging over the cliff and screaming "take a picture of me, ups is that a volcano crater?..."

Minka, took my breath away, the untouched beauty, thanks for giving me a look at a place I would have never imagined to be Iceland! :) foolishly we tend to think Iceland, ice, cold, barren. Now I see it in a whole new way, wonderful!

madd, i hear you. Before i came I bought a really expensive fur-coat and hat to survive for the year I intended to stay here, only to relaize that a jacket and jumper will do too :)

I came here to feed Ferdinand because I saw a note in the Snark. 7 fish and a dip in the water - he's quite happy.

On to your Iceland - beautiful! I can see why you are so attached there. Really so pristine and unspoiled. When I saw the sheep, I started looking for you. Could I be wrong - didn't I see you wrangling one in the background? Nicely done Gabriel. And who knows, Tali's violin teacher hails from Iceland (well she lives here now)...
