something tells me the window informing me I don't have the latest Macromedia Flash Player is not the add you're talking of... I'll take care of it after work.

Fie, Dddragon! It's a communist plot!

That was a cute, ad, though. I wonder who got picked last. How embarrassing.

3D and so it should. Somehow I have a feeling that when the USA soccer team does better -I give them 4-6 years- Your countries attention will focalize ;)

shayna, me too. My kid is gonna play soccer. I don´t care if it is a boy or a girl. After school it will be straight to the pitch. I don´t mind that he or she will have to struggle to live my dreams ;)

ariel, I just downloaded macromedia Flash player a couple of days ago *winks at the initiator*. It is a good thing to have overall ;)

Doug, you are a regular and I really don´t wanna throw you out, but if you are that drunk to utter such nonsense, I´ll send you straight to Miss Kitty and she´ll fix you up with a nice h...hmmm...lady!
I think we don´t get to see who gets picked last...that would be embarrassing :)

Brian, i know, I know! Donæt make me more nervous than I already am!
I have seen the shorter version on Tv as well. I feel that one simply canæt cut out Beckenbauer...on can´t.

At 12:27, Blogger Minka said...

well done Brian! Do you by any chance know the German soccer cry or song? I was asked yesterday and embarassingly couldn´t reply...

At 12:47, Blogger Doug The Una said...

Don't worry about Miss Kitty's. I get a discount at Waking Ambrose.

Looked like a great commercial...of course would have been better had the sport been baseball, but...

kidding.

At 13:07, Blogger Minka said...

Doug, and there was me thinking I was the only one! *shakes head in disbelief*

Joel, Humour with teh soccer will be badly appreciated aorund here! No no, that wa sactually quite funny. I donæt know if yo know, but those were some major stars in that commercial!

At 14:55, Blogger Fred said...

Well done, it's very creative.

At 15:05, Blogger Minka said...

Brian, that somehow is a relief. Since nowhere a reference can be found, I am not so out of touch!

Fred, yes it is. What grade would you give it?

brian, indeed it isn´t! I didnæt know it ever was :)

I should have known Opera was the problem.

from the comments I thought this was gonna be it, and want to say thank you! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ad. when he says 'Beckenbauer', and Beckenbauer indeed shows up, that is one beautiful moment. their stupid slogen "nothing is impossible" almost makes sense.

it has a 2th part too, have you seen that?

At 18:04, Blogger Ariel the Thief said...

nothing embarrassing for the last one. the boys were not choosing from 22 and so there's still one after 21 was taken but from all the players have ever played football in the world.

At 18:58, Blogger Minka said...

kyahgirl, I would but I donæt know where exactly you want my delicious penguin arse!

terry, you ar emost welcome and lovely pictures you have posted!

Ariel, I have not seen the second part. Do you know where I can?

Brian, it is hard to tell. Hard to say. But I predict a 3:1 outcome for Germany. Let the game begin!

Minka...I assumed they were soccer stars since I didn't recognize them. Sorry, couldn't resist.

At 19:57, Blogger Ariel the Thief said...

no unfortunately. :( I hoped you'd tell.

the REAL astonishing thing would be if Eusebio showed up in the ad. maybe Adidas couldn't buy Eusebio? that'd be one astonishing thing, too... :)

and what a game! yay!

Holy Cow!

Excuse me

Heilige Kuh!

Congratulations.

what a game it was. my heart, my nails, phew... Boruc the Poland goal keeper is a spring of steel behind his angelic face.

At 21:11, Blogger Fred said...

No doubt - an "A."

I like the ad.
I am not a sports nut in general but one can't live in europe four years without developing some appreciation.
I don't really understand why more americans don't enjoy it.
There are members of my family who take vacations days to watch every year.
It is interesting.

Joel, we´ve talked about this sorta teasing!

ariel, yeha it was good. I only saw about 40 minutes of it. Whenever i oculd sneak into a room and hide :) It wasn´t a clear-cut win though. Well played and everything, but it might just as well have been a draw!

Doug, I do not know how cows figure into it, but I assume that this was heartfelt and therefore just feel like saying "MUHHHHHHH" (it is a Germna cow after all!)

ariel, angelic? I need glasses!

Fred, I will inform the addidad coporation of your approval :)

Logo, it remains a mystery to me! But I think I am doing good work in promoting the sport! Joel give sit enough attention so he can make some jokes and Doug is being a really good sport and trying to keep up with teh results for me. That is two down and a billion to go?

Minka, there was a baseball announcer named Harry Carey who called games for Saint Louis and both Chicago teams at one time or another. He was famous for two things: Being drunk by the third inning and yelling "Holy Cow!!!!!!!!!!" whenever something amazing happened. How could you not know that?

At 00:10, Blogger Minka said...

Actonbell, would it help if I pray on it?

Doug, ah...that guy! Yeah, he is unversially famous. *rolls eyes*

At 01:13, Blogger Sar said...

Minka, something tells me you like soccer. Or maybe it's still just the eyecandy.

Now let's interrupt for some good ole fashioned shameless promotion! My German Icelandic sistah made it to the finalist round in the caption contest this week y'all! There, that'll get you started. :D

At 01:20, Blogger Minka said...

Thank you for bringing it up, I was a little too shy *blushes*
*hurries of to practice her gracious loser speech*

At 02:24, Blogger Alana said...

that was just too cute...so glad I can see it now! I agree with Ariel though "Nothing is impossible" is a stupid slogan.

You'd think they could've come up with something better than that!

At 03:57, Anonymous Anonymous said...

the things you have to put up with because you're a fan! cute spot... and you my dear, are a great sport! (i love your caption, too, by the way... this week should be fun!) : D
