Narnia

I did it. I went and saw Narnia. Just finished reading the books and was ready for the movie to suck. To my surprise, the movie was just fine. It did not blow me away, but I enjoyed seeing it. The Icequeen´s castle was just as I pictured it in my imagination. The Faun was lovely, the beaver had a lovely accent and Liam Neeson´s voice for Aslan was fantastic! In most movies I have a scene I just love. Be it Legoslas in LOTR or the sexy pyramid-guard in "The Mummy" movies. Today it was this centaur. Right before the two armies encounter, he rides at high speed drawing two swords at the same time. I believe there was one voice in the cinema screaming out loud: "Cool" when that happened.
Next movie: The Brother Grimm
Movie after that: Oliver Twist

I enjoyed Narnia too. I saw it on New Years Eve with hubby actually (after we went out for a very grown up elegant dinner- no kids!). Did you know they're going to make another? All 4 of the children have signed on. I believe there's one more chronical with all 4 children that it'll be based on. It's been a long, long time since I read them, so you'd know better than me. If not Doug will know. He knows everything. :)

Didn't see the movie. Dddragon's girls were in the play last year. It was enjoyable. I've read the books. Not my thing.

Yo, Sar! I think Prince Caspian only has two of the kids in it.

Monika, can we look forward to a similar Saturday arrival to last weeks?

Biene, that will be great, a long time since we went to the movies together :)
MIZ Bohenian mama, yeah he is, isn´t he? What a stud!
Sar, That must be Prince Caspian...I did not know that tehy were making a second one...but alas maybe it wil be a Potter phenomenon of 7?!
TLP, really? Thank goodness we all are different and like different things! Otherwise there would be even more fighting :)
Doug: all four children are pulled from tehtrianstation back into Narnia, in the story of Prince Caspian. Susan blows teh horn, Peter gets the armies ready, Edmund suggests they take the boat to sail around teh island and Lucy..well, she is also there! And no, I´ll be working from 15 to 23 straight, but some of the old ones have delicious liquor in there cabinets ;)

I just remembered: Lucy saw Aslan in the woods before any of the others did...and yet again:they did not believe her, only to be proven wrong in the end!

You are right, Monika! Is it the voyage of the dawn treader where they start to break up? It's been so long.

I haven't seen it yet. Like most other movies, we'll probably wait for the DVD, then enjoy it here at the house with cheap popcorn.

There are seven books - but not all of them have the same kids. The professor in this one was a kid in a different book. The last book unites all the kids. I enjoyed the movie.
