Back in the World of Blogging...

I spent the last couple of days back at Mom- and Dad´s place. There is nothing like spending Christmas with your family. I had a few bad tempers when, somewhere along the line, the internet connection decided to dissapear. But alas, what better time to focus on your family. I missed you guys though. And now you have not learned about the most horrid dish, and missed the last two Yulelads. I guess you have to stick around until next year ;) It always works out for the best, doesn´t it?
I would like to say thank you to my mom, who spent the last three days basically inside the kitchen...I am quite surprised she did not put up camp there. The food was delicious and prepared with love and I truly had my share of it *she says while unbottoning her pants to continue the flow of oxygen through her bloodstream*.
She made me my favourite present this year, but I am gonna post about it later. I noticed that some of you send her Chriostmas wishes and I past them on to her. She was furious about the missing internet connection as well, but she will relpy to those wishes in a soon-to-be post on my blog.
I would also like to thank you guys for your kind wishes and returning visits to my site. You are a big part of my fabulous Christmas! Hope you all survived Christmas in the best of spirits.
I better start thinking about my New Year´s resolutions...there are quite a few!

Doug, so pleased to hear that I was missed and it is good to think a little before you actually state your resolution. Don´t wanna get myself into soemthing too difficult :)
Sar, ok...first I´ll have to figure your e-mail adress...I am gonna check your blog and see if it is somewhere there!
Miz Bohem...I missed you too sweety. And we really have to start taking this online course about breathing through trouble. In-laws-tell me about it!!!

Welcome back, Monika! No New Year's resolutions for me; I take it one day at a time.

Can I borrow Mom for next Christmas?

I'm making my list of resolutions right now. I have no problem making the list.

I have trouble keeping the resolutions of course. But makin' the list is easy.

Sar, yes I found it. I just have to create an account and send you an e-mail. I am kinda excited to see what it is :)
Fred, nope...we are a huge family and none can make Christmas food like mom. Regardless how grown up we get, we seem to migrate all to her house over Christmas. You can´t break with tradition ;)
TLP, I am actually thinking about 28 resolutions :) One for each year of my life. 15 minor ones, 10 medium ones and 3 big ones. I already know the big ones :) Maybe I´ll leave it with those three...

Yeah, I'm gonna lose weight this year. Are you done with that sandwich?

Keith, unfourtunately you are right. I think the most common one is probably to quit smoking. Which is actually quite easy, it is just that not starting to smoke again is so much harder. All about perspectives really. I never really conciously made a resolution. I kinda thought about it a little, but did not take it serious. This year I want to stick to it. But it is more a fullfilment of sorts rather than anything else. Things I always wanted to do and have pushed aside. Like going to Venice...
Doug, you can have it is tuna! But I am keeping the pickle...

Sounds like you had a pleasant time. I wish I still had my parents. It feels like something missing when the holidays come and they are not here.

Tom&Icy, I agree. At least Icy has Dusty. And I hope Tom has a great playmate as well:)

I mean,Monika, it all depends. Maybe I would like to be loaned out one christmas? I would need a picture of the kitchen, of course. And of the surroundings. Is there a swimming pool? Lots of sunshine?
The possibility to go horseriding in lovely landscape? Enough sleeping place for all of us? Fred, true answers and I will give it a thought and cooking lessons for Monika.
Thanks for the christmas greetings!
Mom
