The newest MUST Have...

for everybody that is somebody. People always ask what can you give somebody that seems to have everything. What could you give Jennifer Lopez that she couln´t buy herself? A Country!!! And now it is possible to do just that...thanx to a little construction of man-created islands... another Dubai island in the shape of our very own world.

Yeah they already have a palm tree shaped set of island over there that all the Man Utd footballers have bought up... but the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard is that Tom Cruise has bought a plot on the moon... he really has... I mean, who do you pay for that? Who owns the moon? Which estate agent could you possibly walk in to?

Apparently Johnny depp had his own Carribean Island. Well, he played the pirate very convincingly;)
And I think there is something in America called Star Island or something, where the biggist Hollywood names have one of their many places and tehy sell it to each other or something.
I can´t help but think...there was Puff daddy for example at the Live8 concert raising awareness and money...if only he would let go of a couple of his golden chains and his diamond shoes he could do a lot more good than you and I giving 5000 Kronurs, which actually is a lot of money for us. Yes, yes I know they all have their charities and stuff... but how would you feel singing a couple of songs to get people to donate money, while Puffy is thinking which holdiay island he will book for his and his friends to take a vacation from all this hard work? It seems fake to me! As soon as celebraties get imvolved-I am out!

Lets start saving honey! If not, Diddy will surely invite us over somtime. It seems to me that of all the world's morons the hiphop morons are the worst (even worse than 24 year old icelandic girls). The amount these people spend on bling is unbelieveble. But, they are sooo aware... yeah, my wallet is to small for my fifties and my diamond-shoes are to tight!

I read somewhere that Rod Steward made a bet for "Britain". Which famous person should get Island though?

If I were to chose a country on those fake islands - ignoring the fact that I could not possible afford any such luxury - I´d take Australia. Monika, it would be Italy for you?!

Monika, had you seen my definition of "Geographer" before you left your comment yesterday? I'm learning all of Iceland's states today. (I know, I know.)

23 counties, huh? bet I can't learn to spell them.

I don't want an island. Can't I just have Germany instead? It can't be that expensive ...

Doug, yeah I love Tom and Icy´s site. It is fantastic. Thanx for pointing it out to me...and give it a week or so, we know how big Iceland and all its states are. You will get them by the end. The pronunciation however will be very funny, we have foreigners coming here and it is just plain entertainment when they ask how they can get to Vatnajökull or Þórsmörk :)

Ok Ásgeir...I´ll talk to some people. Eventhough I think you will have to buy Turkey as well, very difficult to seperate them!

"Vatnajökull and Þórsmörk" See, I think I did that well. Still want to know if you'd seen my definition of Geographer before you wrote what you did about learning the States.

At 17:37, Blogger Minka said...

Nope. Wher is your definition of Geographer? I looked and I could not find it...tell me just where it is already.

At 17:40, Blogger Minka said...

uhhh...now I know what you mean. No I saw it after. You told me after I published my comment to go and see you comment on the 14th something. So I did. Why?

At 22:47, Blogger Doug The Una said...

Probably because I can't type. I meant for you to see Geographer. Sorry. It might have been funny.

Doug, where do I find geographer?

It was April 2.

Geographer, n. A chap who can tell you offhand the difference between the outside of the world and the inside.

2005 Update: In the contemporary United States, someone who knows there are fifty states, can find some of them on a map, and knows the capitol of their own. Generally, a foreigner on the cusp of naturalization. In Ancient Persia, Herodotus.
