May I introduce... Posted by Hello

two new, tiny and rather silly little creatures. When our darling budgy Peggy moved on, the empty space she left behind was unbearble.
We gripped her cage, her toys and everything and stored it in the basement. Every morning when I woke up I looked at the vacant spot were her cage used to be. So we bought some flowers, in memory of Peggy, and put them there. Still, there was no sound and the silence became to loud.
We went to a pet store and here they are...in Peggy´s old cage, on her old spot, filling this empty apartment with noises we so sorely missed. If Peggy were here, she would take them under her wing :)

Beautiful photo sweetheart. They are just adorable the tiny little things. I love them already. Right now they are sitting side by side on their new swing, getting ready for sleep. They tend to sleep a bit, maybe eighteen hours a day! Kjánarnir okkar.

They are very cute and sweetly dopey... they remind me of lemmings throwing themsevles off tables and being surprised when they go beak first into the floor... ah so cute! And the colours are exceptional!! And do we know the sex of them yet?

I don't think I ever realized birds could be that cute.

Oh Doug, they are. My boyfriend has alergies, so cats and dogs, though we love them deeply, can´t live with us. The only choice a bird. Once you have one, it is hard to go back.
Now we have to wait until we figure out their gender and then there will be a huge ceremony...I´ll bake!!!

Any suggestions for names are welcome!

Thelma and Louise if they're girls, Laurel and Hardy if they're boys and if it's a girl and a boy, how about Nelson and Winnie, no 'cos she turned out to be a muppet, um, Bonny and Clyde... there you go! Those are my suggestions! :-)

I like the Bonny and Clyde idea very much!

I will pull my East-German card one more time: who is Abbot and Costello?!

Abbot and Costello were slapstick comedians in the early days of cinema. Some of their movies were silent. Like Fritz Lang, only funny and stupid.

Hedda and Hildegard?

Hmmm...there is a Hedda I know and I really would not want to insult my birds. And Hildegard to me is an old German woman in a dirty apron, brown rubber boots and a bun in the oven. But I like the idea that both names start with the same initial.

How about Henrietta and Heloise?

I really just came by to thank you for wishing my father a happy birthday and making both of us laugh. I'll wager it was his first birthday wish from Iceland.

hmmm...I like it, but I have a feeling that my boyfriend is not going to be thrilled.
However, we still do not know their genders. It is almost like having a baby in your womb and waiting. I said: Almost!

As part of the aging population here in Bogsville I would like to offer our services for any research you might be doing. I would also point out that your english is a lot better than ours:)
