My candle burns at both ends;
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends--
It gives a lovely light!

I am a 30 year old student at the university of Iceland, who is at this moment dedicated to the welfare of the aging part of society at Sunnuhlið. One of 7 siblings I have turned out to be somewhat of a noisy girl, with the abilitiy to play nice at times.
"riding astride a rugged pony,
children adored she's never lonely.
steady wind blows flaxen tresses,
in lover's arms she offers caresses.
bubbling sulpher springs beneath,
it has been decided and bequeathed.
in snowy climate and harsh terrain,
that overall an Ice Queen reigns."

Yeah, this seems about right. There is always soemthing going on in the countryside. Loads of animals all over the place. In this particular picture we were comforting the little pig, ´cause one of the dogs was biting it and its ear was bleeding. The poor thing...it doesn´t know it is a pig and just wants to play with all the dogs around.
a natural on that horse babe! and why are pigs so cute?... did you know that pigs were the most collected animal in the world? in art, statues, cuddly toy form I mean... not real pigs obviously! One couldn't put a pig upon one's shelf or in a doggie basket or in a bird's cage in the same way... or could one? ;-)
Jennifer...the bird has a very devoted daddy,who is only to happy to indulge the bird while the mommy is away. Lisa...I do not know why pigs are so endearing. Maybe it is because they are so lovely stupid.

Well don't tell him he's a pig. Tell him he's a bird, then we can take him home and he can play with Peggy (and us). Adorable little thing.
What a great picture. I like reading your blog. Where was your bird when your were in the countryside?
Jennifer

Delighted to hear that, Monika. I'll be back as well.
Monika, I have a favor to ask. I think if I had a dot on my guestmap from Reykjevik, I'll feel like the coolest blogger in California. Would ya? Huh?
That is the smallest favour ever. I´ll be on my way to your map in a second!
I´d love to.
You're a gem. Thanks.
