by the author of Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling has given birth to a baby daughter last week. And until now we do not know her name. I thought it would be fun if we´d guess...my vote is for Bethany. To give you a little help...she has two other children, named David and Jessica.
And for those freaks among us: I have three questions:
1) What tree is Harry Potter´s wand made of?
2) And what is Mrs.Rowling´s best Minesweeping score?
3)Which of all the characters in the Potter books is based on a real person?
If you know the answer to these questions, you really need to get a life!

Minesweeping score? I am so very happy that there are other minesweeper nerds out there! My guess is that she has gone below 100 with 100 bombs, so I say 95? Oh, and this would be a nie time to say that my best time is 93 sec... (you will notice that I have more faith in myself than Mrs Rowling. This is what poor Monika has to deal with every day, poor thing...)

Ok, first of all, I have never been within 100 metres of a Minesweeping game so I'm afraid I have to plead pure ignorance on this one. As for the name... how about something a bit unusual? Say, Tabitha! I would imagine that Hermione is based on a real character for I know one of those myself! ;-) And the wand thing... no idea, how about birch?
Wow! Bjössi you know your Potter stuff. And yes, the Regal one is right. Gilderoy is indeed the only character (and an obnoxious one at that!) that is based on a real character. Harry´s tree is made of Holly (also called tienne) I believe. Apparently Rowling gave the important character a wand that has symbolic meaning from a celtic tradition. Each month (the time were your birthday is) there is a particular tree that fits you) Harry´s birthday is July 31st and therefore Holly is his tree. Her best Minesweeping score is 99!
And Lisa, who do you know that is like Hermione?

I'll give you a clue... her name starts with M and ends onika! ;-) I just checked out JK Rowling's website... it's really well done! Can I confess though that I still haven't read her books! I started the first one but never finished it... it's on my "to do" list though. Is that "the" Bjössi from HÍ? Well if so, I have always rather thought you'd make a good character in Harry Potter... the cunning linguist or something! :-)
