The three "wise" men...

I am reading a lovely book by Allan and Barbara Pease "Why men lie and women cry". And as you probably guessed the book concerns the never ending struggle between the opposite sexes.
Now, in the spirit of christmas being just around the corner, I encountered a little, yet very funny, comment in this book. You all know the story of the three wise men going to greet the baby Jesus, guided only by a star. Well, I just read it and they arrived two weeks after Jesus has been born (already in that time men did not like to ask for directions). And along with them they brought present of gold, frankincense and myrr (the use of these gifts to a newborn baby or its mother is questionable).
Now: Allan and Barbara Pease wondered what it would have been like if instead of these three wise men it would have been three wise women:
"They would have asked directions, arrived in time to help deliver the baby and brought practical gifts, like nappies, bottles, toys and a bouquet of flowers. They would then have put the animals outside, cleaned the stables, made a casserole, stayed in touch by mail, and there would be peace on earth for ever more." I laughed out loud after reading this.
Personally, I think it wouldn´t have been all that peaceful in that stable after all. They would start fighting about which one of their recipes to use for the casserole, which nappy-folding technique would be the most appropriate, where exactly the kitchen area should be and mainly nagged at Joseph for not doing his bit and comparing their breast sizes. In the end either way has its ups and downs. At least the men would congratulate themselves on their elegant riding styles, smoke a pipe and it would be quiet enough for mother and child to enjoy a nap.
